Honey Mobile Safari Extension
Now, US members have more ways to use Honey on your phone. Once you have the latest version of our app, US users will also be able to enable the Honey extension on Safari. After that, we’ll automatically look for coupons and cashback when you shop on your phone – a lot like we do on your computer.
Note: the Honey Mobile Safari Extension is currently available for US members who have iOS15 installed. Cashback is also currently limited to US members only. We'll bring the Honey Mobile Safari Extension, and cashback, to more places across the globe as soon as we can!
How do I get the Honey extension on my iPhone?
The Honey extension for Safari mobile now comes bundled with the latest Honey app on iOS15.
First, you’ll need a device with iOS15 or later. Make sure to update your phone by going to Settings > Software Update. Then you’ll need an up-to-date version of the Honey app. Download or update Honey in the app store.
Launch Honey and select Enable for Safari.
First, you'll need to follow the steps to enable Honey:
- Tap the aA on your browser bar
- Select Manage Extensions
- Turn on Honey by toggling the button to green
Then, just follow the prompts to enable permissions for us to search for savings:
- Tap Review
Select Always Allow
- Select Always Allow on Every Website
What if I don't see the Review button?
If you do not see the Review button, you can click the “ I don’t see a Review button” link at the bottom of your screen to finish setting up the Honey Safari mobile extension.
Then, you'll be shown another way to finish setting up the Honey Extension for your mobile Safari browser. Just follow the prompts on your screen:
- Tap the aA on your browser bar
- Tap the h Honey icon
- Select “Always Allow”, then “Always Allow on Every Website”
Why isn’t Honey showing automatic coupons in Safari?
Make sure Honey is enabled and has permission to read and change data on all websites. Once that’s enabled, we can start looking for deals for you for the items you’re buying. We’re able to show you deals when we have access to store sites. To do that, make sure Honey has permission to read and change data on all websites.
If you do not see Honey popping up while shopping on your mobile browser, you can enable Honey manually:
- Go to Settings
- Choose Safari
- Tap on Extensions
- Enable Honey by toggling the button on
- You will then need to select the "Permissions for Honey" below and choose “Allow” for each site listed.
Once you’ve selected "Allow" we’ll get to work looking for coupons and cashback on items you’re buying.
How come I’m not earning Gold Rewards with the extension on my phone?
Make sure you’re logged into your Honey account. If you already have Honey on desktop, make sure you use the same account on all devices.
I have an Android. Is there a Honey extension for that?
Currently Android doesn’t support browser extensions on Chrome. We hope to be able to bring our extension to Android in the future once Google makes this possible.
How do I use Droplist on the mobile extension?
Currently, Droplist and Honey Tips aren’t available on the mobile extension. We hope to bring your favorite features from the desktop extension to mobile soon.
Will I be able to see Exclusive Offers on the mobile extension?
Right now, Exclusive Offers aren’t available on the mobile Safari extension. We’re working on it and they should be available on your phone soon. In the meantime, check out our latest offers on https://www.joinhoney.com/explore and get to saving!
