What's Amazon Price History?
So, you're shopping on Amazon and you know that we've already found you the best deal on Amazon, but how do you know if it's the right time to buy? Sometimes you buy something, only to find out that the next week the item's price has dropped...we can't be the only people who've experienced that buyer's remorse 🙀
That's why we've created our Amazon Price History feature: to allow you to shop confidently by viewing price changes over the last 30, 60, or 120 days!
When you're shopping on Amazon with Honey installed, you'll see the regular ol' best-price badge show up...but now, when you check out that lower-priced item, we'll let you know if there's been a price change within the last 30, 60, or 120 days. Check it out:
If you view the item's price history, we'll take you to a special Honey page that details that item's price changes over the past 30, 60, or 120 days!
From this example, we can see that while the price isn't the lowest it's ever been, it's pretty dang low--time to treat yourself to that dino costume!
Can I see price information from beyond the last 120 days?
Not at the moment! While we want to ensure you never experience buyer's remorse again, we don't want to keep you up at night with visions of how low the price was back in 2009. This is an experimental feature, and we're working on incorporating more useful info for you. If you've got a suggestion or request for what you'd like to see, please drop us a line!
The item I'm looking at doesn't show me any price history!
We might not have enough info on that item's price history 😞
Once we do, we'll automatically create a price history page for that product--until then, kudos on finding a rarely-seen item on Amazon, you trendsetter!
The graph showed a price change, but it was only a couple of cents...
🙈 Oops! We're trying to help your shopping experience, not bother you! If that information wasn't helpful or if you think the price was incorrect, let us know.
